Bedouina 4x4 Adventure Tour
Join us on a 4x4 adventure and
opportunity to explore historical sites, traditions and cultures set
amongst stunning scenery.
We start our Bedouina tour with a visit to the agricultural village of
Fahs enroute or if you prefer we can visit a typical local market (Monday to
Saturday only). We continue onto the pretty
village of Zaghouan, located at the foot of the Zaghouan Mountain. Here we
will visit the Nymphaeum or Water Temple, once a grand fountain, built
between 120AD and 131AD. It was used by the Romans to transport water to
Carthage through a 132-kilometre long aqueduct. Our next stop is the
traditional town of Zriba where you will see typical local architecture and
if you would like to have a local lunch this is the ideal stop
(alcohol is not available in any of the local restaurants). After lunch you
may fancy a dip in the "Hammam" (hot spring water) which Zriba is also
famous for.
In the afternoon we will continue to the old Berber village of Takrouna. Takrouna is
picturesquely situated on a rocky hill, here you have the opportunity to
interact with the Berber people, the traditional nomads of Tunisia and get
a get a glimpse of their culture and livelihood. The final part of our
tour will take us via Hammamet and a short stop at a local winery before
returning back to port. |

historical sites.

temples, fortified cities and other historical buildings and sites add
EUR70.00 for the full tour duration.
