Erice, Olive Oil Farm & Segeste
Itinerary
We start our tour with a visit to Erice. On arrival at this medieval
town, we will walk to the Castle which was built on the
ruins of the temple of Venus. We will also stop at a local pastry-shop
to taste the typical marzipans and almond pastries and you will have
some free time to admire this pretty and unique town before we set off
to our next stop. The next location includes a visit to an Olive Oil
factory and after a short tour of this typical olive oil factory you can
sample a selection of local appetisers, including olives and the oil
produced.
Our final
visit includes the ancient site of Segeste.
Segeste is an
abandoned ancient Greek city once part of the Elymian Empire. You can
view a Greek Temple and Amphitheatre here and admire the stunning
scenery which surrounds this superbly located city. Our tour comes to an
end and we make our way back to the ship. |
