You start this interesting day with a scenic drive to the slopes of
Mount Etna. The enchanting landscape, fabulous views, pretty villages
are delightful as we make our way into the heart of Etna. On arrival at
Castiglione di Sicilia, we are greeted by our host at this beautifully
converted old agriturismo farmhouse. You will immediately feel at home
as soon as you arrive, Mamma Rosaria will show us around her kitchen and
surrounding garden where she grows herbs, particular vegetables and a
variety of fruits. A cooking demo and short course will take place under
the guidance of Mamma Rosaria and if the thought of Sicilian cooking
conjures up ideas of tasty and colourful dishes, that is exactly what
you should expect. This will be your lunch…so pay attention!
During the day you will have the opportunity to sample local appetizers
and other local tasties, and, until the food is cooked and ready to be
served you can stroll around the gardens and enjoy the ambience of this
delightful converted farmhouse residence.
Your lunch includes, the freshly prepared food which is complimented
with good local wine. Typical local sweets are also served.
